The Security Surveillance Management (Perform Remote Surveillance Function) security course is designed for security professionals involved in performing remote surveillance tasks and who meet the regulatory requirement to be licensed as a security officer according to the Private Security Industry Act 2007.
It equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out effective remote surveillance activities using surveillance technology. This course is relevant for senior security officers, supervisors, executives, and managers, as well as individuals responsible for monitoring and managing security systems, analyzing surveillance data, and making informed decisions based on surveillance findings.

Course Objectives
The course aims to provide security personnel with essential knowledge, skills, and integrated competencies required in the dynamic field of remote surveillance training, ensuring they are well-equipped to adapt to the ever-evolving security landscape.
Pre-requisites
The following prerequisites are required for the course:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English at WPL Level 3.
- Ability to read content displayed on a computer monitor and have clear vision at a distance.
- Basic skills in operating a computer.
- Smartphone with an internet connection and QR code scanner function (this will be used during the POLWEL assessment).
