Target Audience
Engineer, Safety Personnel, Foremen, Supervisors and Contractors who have to work and supervise in manhole and other confined spaces
Course Overview
At the end of the course, participants will have a good understanding on the:
- Legal requirements on manhole work
- Knowledge on manholes, their hazards and consequences, control and mitigation measures
- Need of having an effective manhole entry permit system
- Ability to raise a Permit-to-Work, using a systematic approach:
- Identify the atmospheric hazards in the manhole
- Apply for a Permit-to-Work in a manhole and revoke the permit when the atmospheric conditions are unsafe for work

18 hours, include 1.5 hours of assessment
