Target Audience

This security training course is suitable for anyone who wants to start a career as a Security Supervisor or any Security officer who wants to upgrade themselves with supervisory skills for career advancement opportunities in the Security Industry.

Course Overview

This module provides trainee with the knowledge and skills in supervising and managing junior security officers. Upon completion of this module, trainee will be equipped with the necessary and relevant supervisory and managerial skills required as a Security Supervisor and be able to apply them at the workplace.

Course Duration

20 hours (2.5 days) include assessment hours

Assessment

An assessment (2 hours 10 minutes) will be conducted at the end of the module by POLWEL

• Supervise direction of security officers
• Supervise control of security officers
• Supervise emergency situations
• Supervise health and safety at work

Pre-requisites

Participants with the following competency ratings from the Employability Skills System are eligible:
Listening/Speaking Min. Level 6
Reading/Writing Min. Level 6
Numeracy Min. Level 5
OR
Participants who have taken Enhanced Basic Security Course (Handle Security Incidents & Services and Provide Guard & Patrol Services – either under WSQ or NSRS) are also eligible.
OR
Participants may also be required to undergo a pre-qualifying test during registration.
