Career Support Programme (CSP)

The Career Support Programme (CSP) aims to encourage employers to tap into the wealth of experience that mature Singaporean Professionals, Managers and Executives (PMEs) can bring to the workplace. Wage support is extended to employers that offer suitable job opportunities to mature Singaporean PMEs who have been actively looking for jobs for a considerable period of time. Employers must commit to offering structured/approved training to the PMEs recruited and fulfill other eligibility criteria.

The CSP will be piloted from 1 October 2015 for a period of two years and is part of the suite of career services offered by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Career Centres and the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i).

Who can qualify?

Employer who meets the following criteria:

  • Be a company that is registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Employs eligible PME job seeker(s) with a monthly gross salary of at least $4,000 (basic salary plus allowances attracting CPF contribution)
  • Employs eligible PME job seeker(s) with a permanent job or employment contract duration of at least 12 months
  • Provides eligible PME job seeker(s) with approved structured On-The-Job training (OJT) or sends  him/her for external SSG-approved training

You can send your new hire for any SSG-funded course, such as those offered by NTUC LearningHub and Next U. You may  benefit from the course fee support for these courses, based on prevailing SSG rates and existing processes.

What does it cover?

For PMEs aged 50 and above

For PMEs aged 40 to 49

Wage support for first six months of employment

40% of gross monthly salary, capped at $2,800 a month

20% of gross monthly salary, capped at $1,400 a month

Wage support for next six months of employment

20% of gross monthly salary, capped at $1,400 a month

10% of gross monthly salary, capped at $700 a month

Note:

  • Your company will not be eligible for other absentee payroll support from SSG when sending the mature Singaporean PME hired under CSP for training as you would have already received wage support from the CSP.
