Target Audience

The WSQ cleaning aims to help workers in the cleaning industry obtain the fundamental skills and equip them with the basic knowledge of cleaning for their specific environment.

Course Overview

On completion of this module, participant will be equipped with the necessary and relevant knowledge and skill sets in recognizing and differentiating different types of furniture and furnishing materials. Participants will be equipped with the skill sets in conducting colour fastness test and use appropriate tools and equipment to polish different types of furniture and furnishings.

Course Duration

32 hours (4 days) exclude assessment hours

Assessment

Practical and oral/written test (1 hour 40 minutes) is conducted at the end of the training course

Course Outline

• Clear apron and concealed drains
• Clear apron gullies and floor traps
• Clean lift landings and lift cars
• Perform sweeping, mopping and litter picking
• Perform damp cloth wiping, stand bin clearing and removal of stubborn stains
• Reinstate work area

Pre-requisites

There is no minimum educational requirement.

Candidates should be physically fit and have a 20/30 vision. They should also have a general sense of punctuality; be customer-service orientated and comply with safety procedures.

Course Location

On-site training can be arranged upon request for company training with a minimum number of 10 persons.
