Target Audience

This NSRS cleaning training course is suitable for anyone who wants to find a job in the cleaning industry as a professional cleaner. It aims to help workers in the cleaning industry obtain the fundamental skills and knowledge in cleaning different types of carpet materials.

Course Overview

This module provides trainee with the knowledge and skills in identifying and recognizing the appropriate use of cleaning tools for cleaning different types of carpet materials. Upon completion of this module, trainee will be equipped with the necessary and relevant knowledge and skill sets in understanding and carrying out the right procedures to remove spillages and stains.

Course Duration

24 hours (3 days) exclude assessment hours

Assessment

Practical and oral/written tests (50 minutes) are conducted at the end of the training course

Course Outline

• Recognize different types of carpet materials
• Identify different types of cleaning tools
• Health and safety procedures
• Clean spillages and removing stains
• Select and pack cleaning tools and supplies
• Removal of loose dirt and debris
• Reinstate work area

Pre-requisites

There is no minimum educational requirement.

Candidates should be physically fit and have a 20/30 vision. They should also have a general sense of punctuality; be customer-service orientated and comply with safety procedures.
