Overview
NTUC LearningHub in partnership with Republic Polytechnic is pleased to offer the WSQ Certificate in Hotel and Accommodation Services for housekeeping and front office to skill up the workers in the hospitality and tourism industry in Singapore. These programmes are accredited by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and developed from the WDA's Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) framework.

WSQ Certificate in Hotel and Accommodation Services (Housekeeping):
This course aims to provide an overview of activities and servces related to housekeeping such as laundry valet services, cleaning and servicing guest rooms and public areas and laundry and linen room operations.
Entry Requirements / Pre-requisite Knowledge:
- GCE 'N' or 'O' Level with a credit in English; or
- ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (Level 4); and
- Customer Service Oriented

Certification:
Participants will be awarded a WSQ Certificate in Hotel and Accommodation Services (Housekeeping) upon meeting at least 75% of the class attendance as well as successfully completed the requried assessments.
*Terms and conditions (WDA Grant)
-Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident
-Achieves at least 75% attendance
-Successfully completes all assessments
-New entrants will have to commit to make the best efforts to secure employment in the Tourism industry and remain in employment within the company for at least 3 months
-Existing industry professionals will have to commit to remain in employement within the Tourism Industry for at least 3 months upon completion of programme
-Re-assessment fee are NOT funded
-Sponsored applicants who terminate and resign from company, the sponsoring company has to top-up the balance subsidised fee if the applicants wish to continue their studies.
WSQ Certificate in Hotel and Accommodation Services (Front Office):
This course is designed to equip the participants with operational knowledge and skills of front office activities and services related to hotels and/or service apartments. Specific competencies vary with operations and may include handling check-in and check-out of guests, reservations, bell services and cashiering. .

- GCE 'N' or 'O' Level with a credit in English; or
- ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (Level 4); and
- Customer Service Oriented

Funding
The WSQ Hospitality courses are funded by SPUR.
Terms and conditions for SPUR funding are as follow:
-Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident (applicable for both individuals and corporate sponsored trainees)
-Achieves at least 75% attendance
-Successfully completes all assessments required for the full certification
-New entrants will have to commit to make the best efforts to secure employment in the Tourism industry and remain in employment within the company for at least 3 months
-Existing industry professionals will have to commit to remain in employement within the Tourism Industry for at least 3 months upon completion of programme
-Re-assessment fee are NOT funded
-Sponsored applicants who terminate and resign from company, the sponsoring company has to top-up the balance subsidised fee if the applicants wish to continue their studies.
