Target Audience

This course is targeted at staff in supervisory positions who have to be responsible for maintaining the workplace safety and health policies and procedures. It may also be useful to people in small businesses or to self-employed workers.

Course Overview

This course helps to equip participants in supervisory positions with generic occupational safety and health competencies to implement effective workplace safety and health (WSH) management and to maintain WSH policies.

24 hours – 3 days

Assessment

Theory - Knowledge, Comprehension & Discussion
Practical - Role-play, demonstration & case study
Assessment - Participant's assessment will be conducted throughout the course

  • Interpret workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmes
  • Educate workers on workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmes
  • Implement and control workplace safety and health management programmes
  • Implement workplace risk management programmes
  • Maintain workplace risk control measures

Certification

Upon successful completion and assessment of each training module, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA). The SOA is a nationally-recognised qualification indicating the participant's ability of competence in a particular area.

Funding Info

SPUR funding is only applicable to all who are Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident. SPUR Funding is valid till 30 November 2010.
