At the end of the course, participants will learn how to:

  • Keep themselves clean and hygienic
  • Keep their work area clean
  • Reduce contamination during food handling process

4 hours (including 30-mins examination)

Course Outline

Introduction to food safety

  • Participants should understand the risks associated with handling food and be able to identify common food hazards
Personal hygiene
  • Participants should understand how to keep themselves clean and hygienic and be able to understand the importance of proper food handling process and use of protective clothing and equipment
Cleaning
  • Participants should understand the importance of cleaning in manufacturing premises and should be able to understand the importance of the cleaning process to keep food safe for consumption
Contamination
  • Participants should understand how to keep the product safe and be able to understand the importance of proper food handling process to prevent contamination.
